What is a consulting marketplace?
A consulting marketplace is a digital platform where companies publish consulting requirements and matching consultancies submit offers — usually with standardised day rates and pre-qualified providers.
Consulting marketplaces differ from classic placement services mainly in the amount of self-service: marketplaces rely on standardisation and scale, classic placement on personal guidance and individual matching.
For mid-market companies with three or more consulting tenders a year, moving from an in-house supplier list to a marketplace usually pays off — comparability across day rates and track record is considerably higher.
